For your dancing and dining pleasure, may I present Frank Zappa and his 1976 performance of “I’m the Slime” on Saturday Night Live, with assistance from Don Pardo? Yes, sprouts, there was a time when SNL was worth staying up for. Zappa enjoyed it so much, he even invited Pardo to join him for a performance of “The Illinois Enema Bandit,” a cross-cultural milestone immortalized on this record.
