This item about a woman who read 462 books last year reminds me, perhaps unfairly, of the old Woody Allen routine: “I took a speed reading course and it worked great. I just read War and Peace in 20 minutes. It’s about Russia.”
I read fairly quickly myself but as a family man I find the problem isn’t the speed with which I read, but the speed with which I will be interrupted as soon as I open a book.
